Collage on Wood LOON and RED WINGED BLACKBIRD in the Marsh

This lovely piece was created during my residency in Truro on Cape Cod. It was collaged on a piece of up-cycled wood with hand printed papers, and antique bird images from 1800s 5.5" x 9" in size. The panel is sealed, gessoed, collaged, then finished with a satin UV protective varnish. The art is painted on the back with a little sketch etched in, and is signed using my initials on the front, and signed as well on the back. It is wired and ready to hang; it also works propped up on a mantle, or on a mini easel. I call these little "wall gems".
